A landmark mental health bill in California has funded community services and promoted culturally relevant treatment across the state for two decades. Now the governor wants to shift some of that money toward moving homeless people off the streets. This series explores the impact the governor’s plan will have on BIPOC and LGTBQ communities, and their efforts to take control of their own mental health care.
